Frequently asked questions

What does Roofing.Bio cost?

Work runs under the Trades.Agency plans: Growth at $1,999 per month, Elite at $3,999 and Enterprise at $7,999 month-to-month, or $1,499, $2,999 and $5,999 per month on annual billing. Canadian clients add GST/HST by province.

Are we locked into a contract?

No. You pay month by month, and 30 days' notice ends the arrangement. Annual billing is a choice for a lower monthly price, not a requirement.

How long before the new pages are live?

Most owner stories and credentials pages go live within two to three weeks. Warranty pages depend on how quickly current manufacturer documents can be gathered. A review routine is usually running within two weeks.

We tried an agency before and got nothing. Why is this different?

Many agencies sell traffic. Brand-profile work fixes what happens after someone finds you: whether they believe you. You'll see each page, approve each claim and get monthly numbers you can check yourself. If it isn't working, you can leave with 30 days' notice.

Who owns the website pages and accounts?

You do. Your website content, your Google Business Profile and your review history belong to your business. We work with access you grant and hand everything back if you leave.

Can you promise more reviews or more jobs?

No one can do that honestly. We make no promises about rankings or leads. We commit to running the routine on every job and reporting exactly what happened.

Will you write reviews or post them for us?

Never. Google bars incentivised reviews, reviews from employees and others with a conflict of interest, and selectively asking only happy customers. We only help you ask real customers for honest reviews.

What if we get a bad review?

You reply calmly and factually, offer to talk it through directly, and don't share the customer's private details. We provide reply guidelines. A measured reply to a bad review often reassures future buyers.

Do you tell us what licences or insurance we need?

No. We're a marketing service, not a regulator, insurer or lawyer. We link to the provincial bodies and list what you already hold. Confirm your obligations with those bodies and your broker.

Do you do roof inspections or estimates?

No. We are not a contractor and never go on a roof. We write and manage the marketing that explains your roofing company to buyers.

How do you report results?

Monthly, in plain numbers: review requests sent and reviews received, visits to your trust pages, and calls, texts and emails that came from them. Where you share quote data, we add close rates.

Can you work with our existing website?

Usually, yes. If your site can't support new pages cleanly, we'll say so; Elite includes 50% off Trades.Agency website design packages, and Enterprise includes a website build.

Do you work in French for Quebec roofers?

Quebec's language rules require French for commercial advertising and websites aimed at Quebec customers. We plan French versions for Quebec clients; ask us about how we handle translation for your project.

Money and contracts

Roofing.Bio pricing follows the Trades.Agency plans, from $1,999 per month month-to-month or $1,499 per month billed annually, plus GST/HST. There's no lock-in: cancel with 30 days' notice. The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses. The pricing page shows what each plan includes and how to choose.

Ad spend, if you run ads, is separate. Brand-profile work doesn't depend on it.

What we do and don't do

We write owner stories, credentials pages, warranty pages, review routines and proof packs for quotes. We don't do roofing work, inspections, code advice, legal advice or insurance advice. Roofing.Bio is a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor.

The services page explains each piece of work and how to choose a starting point.

Reviews and honesty

Our review approach follows a simple principle: ask everyone, reward no one, write nothing yourself. That lines up with Google's policies, and it's also what keeps a profile believable. Messages sent by text or email are built to meet the requirements of Canada's anti-spam law. Our review request guide shows how we do it in practice.

Ownership and leaving

Everything we build for you is yours: the pages, the profile improvements and the review history. If you leave, we hand over access and documentation. Read about how we work for more on our approach.

Timelines, in practice

A typical first month looks like this. In week one, we read your current website and Google Business Profile and send you a document checklist. In week two, we interview you and start the fact list. By the end of week three, the owner story and credentials page are usually in draft for your review. The warranty page follows once current manufacturer documents are in hand, and the review routine starts with the next job you finish.

The slowest step is almost always paperwork. If you can find your certificate of insurance, your workers' compensation account details and your manufacturer program letter in the first few days, everything moves faster.

If you've been burned by an agency before

That's common in roofing, and it's reasonable to be cautious. The usual story is a monthly fee, a report full of impressions and clicks, and no clear link to signed jobs. Our work is easier to judge, because you can see it: you read and approve every page, you can check every claim against your own documents, and you can count the review requests that went out against the jobs you finished.

If the numbers don't move, you'll know, and you can leave with 30 days' notice. We'd rather earn the next month than lock you into a year.

Reporting you can check

Each month you get a short report in plain language:

  • review requests sent, compared with jobs completed
  • new reviews, the newest review date, and owner reply times
  • visits to your about, credentials and warranty pages, and the calls, texts and emails that followed
  • close rate on quotes that carried the estimate proof pack, where you share quote data

No vanity charts. If a number is bad, we say so and explain what we'll change.

Working across provinces

If you roof in more than one province, we build one consistent company profile and adjust the credentials, language and service-area pages for each. Quebec work needs French versions; other provinces need their own workers' compensation and registration details. Our areas page summarises what changes where.
