An estimate proof pack is a short web page, linked from every roofing quote you send, that answers the homeowner's unspoken question: why should I trust this company with this much money? It pulls together a brief owner story, your current credentials, a plain warranty summary and a few recent reviews, in a format that opens on a phone in seconds.
The problem it solves
Most roofing buyers collect two to four quotes. They sit at the kitchen table with several pieces of paper, and the easiest thing to compare is the bottom-line number. Your website might explain everything that makes you different, but the buyer isn't looking at your website at that moment. They're looking at the quotes.
The proof pack brings your proof to the table. It's the difference between "this one is $2,000 more" and "this one is $2,000 more, has workers' comp coverage, a workmanship warranty I understand and a stream of recent reviews."
What it contains
Each pack is short by design: a buyer should get through it in two or three minutes.
- Who you are. A 60–80 word version of your owner story, with a real photo if you have one.
- What stands behind the job. The key lines from your credentials page: registration or licence, workers' compensation, insurance and manufacturer standing.
- The warranty in one paragraph. Drawn from your warranty page, with a link to the full terms.
- What customers say. A link to your Google reviews, plus recent review excerpts quoted accurately with permission from Google's public listing. We never edit a review's meaning or pick only fragments that change it.
- How the job runs. Five or six steps from contract to clean-up, so the homeowner knows what to expect.
- How to reach you. Phone, text and email for the estimator or owner.
Worked example: why this matters on bigger tickets
Suppose your estimators send 20 residential quotes a month, at an average of $16,000 each, and close 6 of them. That is $96,000 a month in signed work.
If the pack helps close one more job a month, that's $16,000 more in monthly revenue, or $192,000 over a year, from quotes you were already writing. That's an illustration, not a forecast; we measure your real numbers before and after.
How estimators use it
The pack only works if it actually goes out. We make that easy:
- One link, always the same. Estimators don't need to remember which version to send. The page updates itself when your credentials or reviews change.
- A one-line script. "Here's a short page about who we are and what stands behind the job; it's worth two minutes before you decide." Said at the kitchen table, then texted.
- Printed when needed. Some buyers, often older homeowners, prefer paper. A single printable page goes in the quote folder.
Who it's for
- Residential roofers who often lose to lower bids.
- Companies with several estimators, where the quality of the sales conversation varies.
- Commercial roofers who submit bid packages and need a consistent company profile attached.
Timeline
One to two weeks once the owner story, credentials and warranty pages exist. If they don't, we build the pack alongside them and it goes live with them.
How we measure it
- Close rate on quotes sent with the pack, compared with quotes before it.
- Whether the link is opened. We set up simple, cookieless page analytics.
- What estimators hear: fewer "why are you more expensive?" questions is a good sign.
Mistakes to avoid
- Too long. A pack that repeats the whole website gets skimmed. Short wins.
- Out of date. An expired credential on a pack sent today does real damage. We review packs whenever a credential changes.
- Cherry-picked or altered reviews. Quote accurately or link instead.
- Sending it late. The pack works best with the quote, or within an hour of the estimate visit.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a PDF or a web page?
A web page, so it's always current and easy to open on a phone. We can also export a simple printable version for estimators who hand over paper quotes.
Does it replace our quote software?
No. It sits alongside whatever you use now. Your estimator adds one line and a link to each quote, or texts the link after the visit.
Can it include photos of past jobs?
Yes, if they're your own photos of your own work, ideally with the homeowner's permission where the house is identifiable. No stock images.
Will it show prices?
No. The quote carries the price. The proof pack explains what the price buys: who does the work, what coverage stands behind it and how the warranty works.
